# Analyte Management (view_analyte_aliases_recipe)= ## View existing alias names for an analyte * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * Search for your analyte of interest * Click VIEW * Review the Aliases card --- (merge_analyte_as_alias_recipe)= ## Make an existing analyte into an alias of another analyte * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * Search for the analyte you wish to make into an alias * Click VIEW * Click DEMOTE TO ALIAS * Select the analyte you wish to make this into an alias of * Click SUBMIT --- (split_analyte_aliases_recipe)= ## Separate an existing analyte alias as a new analyte * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * Search for the analyte of interest * Click VIEW * In the Aliases card, select the alias you wish to change and click Promote to new analyte --- (edit_analyte_envirodata_name_recipe)= ## Change how an analyte's name is stored in the EnviroData database * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * In the Details Card, click the EDIT button * Enter a new name in the *Analyte Name* field * Click SAVE --- (edit_analyte_display_name_recipe)= ## Change an analyte's display name * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * In the Details Card, click the EDIT button * Enter a new name in the *Display Name* field * Click SAVE --- (edit_analyte_units_recipe)= ## Change an analyte's default units * Navigate to Manage > Analytes * In the Details Card, click the EDIT button * Select a new value from the Applicable Unit Group (if necessary) * Select a new valuye from the Default Unit dropdown * Click SAVE --- (link_analyte_to_guideline_recipe)= ## Link an analyte to a guideline standard * Navigate to Manage > Guidelines and Cofactors * Click the EDIT button for the Guideline of interest * Click the + Analyte button on the row of the Standard of interest * Select an analyte from the Linked Analyte dropdown menu * Click SAVE
